mbDrive Lite - WiFi flash disk App Reviews

This app seemed great but I cant find the adress listed on the botom of the mbdrive, and the port number in the settings for me is only 8080 and my computer doesnt recocnize it.Please help????!!!! PS. do you have to be on a wifi, or can you just have your itouch sinced with your computer?!?!?!?!?

This is ok, but FileApp has all of these features and then some. Plus, it has no memory limit. FileApp rocks

First, if you are looking at this app and see all the 1 star reviews, it is because people did not read the directions. I am so impressed with this application that I fired up iTunes to rate it 5 stars and write my first review in iTunes. I have been switching out thumb drives and formatting them to work on mac and windows today as I have been setting up my windows 7 machine. I wanted to transfer files EASILY from the mac to the windows machine and vise versa. I would never have guessed my little iPod would do it beyond my expectations. Follow the "help" instructions in the app, it takes seconds to configure for mac or windows. If you do this, it is not confusing. I set my iPod up on my mac and windows machine in a couple of minutes. Now my iPod shows up as a network drive on my comnputers! I can drag files from the mac onto my iPod, preview them from the iPod, and my windows machine can access the files, and vice versa. It makes the iPod or iPhone a super fast, portable server. If you like thumb drives, and it would help to not have to plug it in to one computer and switch to another, get this app-- you can wirelessly connect several computers to the iPhone at once and swapping files is several times quicker than using a thumb drive. --Sean (btw check out my song, "U4ia")

How do i transfer my files from my ipod to a random computer?

This app seems to be nice in the way it works. I Like that its Webdav instead of a bad implementation of a mini web server like most apps. I gave an extra star for the Webdav. :D I must point out that its a little hard to get back to the file list as you have to tap a very small part of the screen to "go back" after viewing things fullscreen (like images). Hopefully iPhone OS 4s new APIs will yield saving your images to your photo library on the mobile device or could that be done now? * cough yes, cough* :D

I know it is just a thumbdrive but it would be nice if there was a password protection so other people cant see what files you have without that password. I have tried the one in Setting but nothing happened

You type in the ip address given by the app in your web browser to access files. To download files to drive you go to your network places and create one just for the ip address. Easy peasy! I now have very important spreadsheets and files saved somewhere other than my work computer in case it ever crashes. Im happy!

Does not work at all, followed the instructions to the letter and nothing.The adress at the bottom of the mbdrive screen was not a valid address. When I tried to set it up on the network wizard per instructions it told me that the folder not valid. I tried to go to their support page but could not get in. I am not a rookie when it comes to computers.

I couldnt connect to the adress at the bottom. If you need to store files on your iPod touch or iPhone, get iFiles.

This app is the best. It does what it says and downloads it quick and easy. For the ones that says it is stupid, its because you may not be connected to the same Wi-Fi. Try connecting your computer/pc to the same Wi-Fi as your I-Pod touch, I-Phone, or I-Pad. If you do that and connect this app, you maybe able to run it.

This is great. I love it. It can do alot. Easy set up. For those of you that wish to view PDFs, you need to download a reader ( PDF Reader Lite works great and its free). Get this!

If there was a Bluetooth version of this u would be the happiest person on earth. Oh and if it could pass the files to third party apps! Apple probably doesnt allow the APIs to do this though

Great App but the power saving feature which is on other Apps does not appear to work. I like the ability to wirelessly talk to my laptop and download data sheets. Good product!

Now I have a server address for flash which i can access my files from any browser. the app should be open and connected to wifi

If i could give it 0 stars, i would! This app always CRASHES!!!! I didnt even get to store any of my files! You would be better off with an actual flash drive if you ask me......
